As Hello Smile grew its operations, they faced challenges with manual processes. Tracking packages, invoices, returns, and stock across 5+ countries and 10+ banks became increasingly time-consuming. The client needed a way to stay in control of every transaction without hiring more staff to handle repetitive tasks. We stepped in to create a system that integrates and cross-references all their data, delivering a streamlined and automated solution.

Together with our partners at Hominid Studio, we designed a sleek, modern dashboard interface that works seamlessly on any device. It’s simple, user-friendly, and provides all the insights the client needs in one place.

The Tech Stack

Frontend

The user interface is developed with React.js, providing a dynamic and responsive experience. React’s component-based architecture ensures maintainability and scalability while enabling a smooth and interactive user experience.

Backend

The backend is built using Node.js, serving as the foundation for handling API requests and ensuring fast and efficient server-side operations. We leveraged Python for parsing CSV files, utilizing its powerful libraries to process and transform data for seamless integration into the system.

Database

We used MySQL, a reliable relational database management system, to store and manage structured data. MySQL ensures high performance and flexibility when querying large datasets, making it ideal for handling the needs of the application.

Hosting & Infrastructure

The application is hosted on Hetzner's dedicated server, offering high performance and control over server resources. We use GitLab CI/CD to automate continuous integration and deployment, ensuring streamlined and efficient updates to the application.

Problem

Scaling up sales brought new hurdles for Hello Smile, especially in tracking shipments and finances efficiently. They wanted a solution that avoided adding more staff for manual tasks—making automation the clear answer.

Solution

We built a web application that imports data from e-commerce platform, bank statements, courier reports, and returns. This data is organized in a database and processed to provide live reporting and insights, giving Hello Smile full control without the hassle.

Conclusion

Our solution allowed Hello Smile to manage and track over 100,000 sales and deliveries with ease. It significantly reduced manual work while improving accuracy and efficiency.
